Fine Romance – The Complete Third Series (PG)
Real-life husband and wife Dame
Judi Dench (Mrs Brown, Mrs Henderson
Presents) and Michael Williams (Educating
Rita, Love in a Cold Climate) return as the ‘will-they-won’t-they’ couple
Laura Dalton and Mike Selway, in the third series of the hugely-successful,
BAFTA award-winning A Fine Romance,
which will be released by Network on 14th August 2006.
Mike and Laura are still together
(just) but the pressures of maintaining the relationship is enormous. Laura now
wants children too, and Mike’s dead set against the idea. They couple also fear
that fate conspires against them when they host a dinner party, while Mike
finds customers withdrawing orders when he falls behind in his work.
Written by the masterful pen of
Bob Larbey (The
Darling Buds of May, Ever Decreasing
Circles) and co-starring Susan Penhaligon (The Uncanny, No Sex Please, We’re British)
and Richard Warwick (If, Please Sir!)
as Laura’s sister and brother-in-law, A
Fine Romance was a huge ratings winner in its day because of its sharp wit
and gentle comedy.
Containing all six episodes
originally broadcast between November and December 1983, A Fine Romance – The Complete Third Series,
will appeal to all those who have bought Network’s previous releases in the A Fine Romance Series, and all those who
enjoy romantic comedies.
