Janet N's Account of the Evening ...

Five of us found each other: Suzanne Moore, Carrie Kovar and her friend Denise, Satoru Okuhara (who came all the way from Japan), and me. We enjoyed chatting with each other and comparing our thoughts on Dames Judi and Maggie and their work. The restaurant Fresh was very nice. They served us red and white wine and various non-alcoholic drinks. I sampled at least five different hors d'oeuvres. On the tables were little round boxes of lavender colored and lavender flavored hard candies that each of us could take if we chose. On the boxes was an announcement that the DVD (Region I, I assume) would be available November 2005. I think there were about 50 people present altogether, including Dame Maggie, Charles Dance, and Joshua Bell. Carrie, Denise, and I went to the movie afterward. I am not sure about Satoru. Suzanne did not go. I had seen it before at the Miami International Film Festival and loved it. I was delighted to see it again! If it comes to my neighborhood in the future (Fort Myers, FL), I'll see it again and bring my friends.

Reminder:  This is being described as a "Cocktail Party". 
No mention has been made of dinner, etc.

A note from Chris ...

I want to take this opportunity to thank the people who voluntarily removed their names
from the list of people or who decreased their number of people attending.
It made my job of selecting the final (10) people much easier and pretty straight forward.
The final (10) names were selected based on the order of entries submitted.

For those who chose to remain on the list but did not get selected, on behalf of
Roadside Attractions, I apologize for the confusion, disappointment and last minute changes in their plans.

I hope that those who do attend enjoy themselves.  We'll be interested to hear how the party went.
I'll be happy to add their accounts and any photos to the website.

According to Shania with Roadside Attractions, drawings will be held at the party for the LiL Soundtrack CD and Posters.  I don't have any more details than that.  If Shania provides more information, I will add it to the website.
