A Heartfelt Thanks from Chris
(as in Christine, a Ms.)
A Brief History ...
First off -- I'm Chris -- as in Christine. Some people aren't sure if
I'm male or female.
Webmistress is my official title. ;-) I live
near Chicago, IL. USA. These Websites are a
"hobby". I also have a full-time job.
I became "hooked" on ATGB and Dame Judi back in the Spring of 2000. I
started to search
the internet for information and photos, etc. After several months, I
realized I really wasn't
finding as much as I wanted to -- in the organized format that I wanted
it to be in. So -- to
make a long story short -- I decided to create my own Website that
focused on Dame Judi's
entire career. One that ultimately will provide as much information
about each of her countless
performances -- organized in a way so that the user can find what they're
looking for easily and
in different ways -- and be able to make comparisons between performances
and relate it to
periods of time, etc. The DJD Chron Website first became public at the
end of May, 2001.
The Michael Williams Website went public at the end of June, 2001. I
still have a long way to
go before I reach my goal but I think I've made steady progress during
these past years.
I have stacks of items that are just waiting for me to add to the
Websites: videos, audio
recordings, articles, etc. All I need is time. ;-)
I always welcome suggestions by other users on how to improve it -- so
please feel free
to send me any ideas that you might have.
Thank you to all of you who have made creating and maintaining these
websites such an
enjoyable and rewarding experience. I never would have been able to do it
without you.
This has really been a group effort and I hope it will
continue to be so. I've made
alot of very special friends along the way ...
Special Recognition must be given to Dame
Judi Dench and the late Michael
Williams.
I hope they don't mind that I
was so presumptuous to think that I could create Websites that
would actually try to do their careers justice. Their
professionalism and incomparable talent as
well as the personal example they have set as individuals and as
a couple have inspired so many
of us around the world. If only we could all "revel in
one another's company ..."
Special Recognition must also be given to my "Official
Guinea Pigs":
Meggie R, Emma L, Delda W,
Susan S, Jean M, Jan M, Cindy F and Suzanne P.
They have generously given me
their support and encouragement and inspiration since the
beginning. Thank you !!!
I would also like to thank the following people who have made
significant contributions to these
websites -- either with their time, talent and / or specific
items to the content:

A Sincere Thank
You to Meryll Evans, Sculptor, and James
Cobbold, Theatre by the Lake
for providing me with the Homepage photos of Meryll's Bronze
Sculpture.
This Website has recently lost
three very special friends who made immeasurable contributions.
They are deeply missed ... Gregory Rose, Susan (Sudie) Siefferman
and Jane Holland.
And finally, last but not least, my most loving and sincerest
of all thanks to Matt W,
the person whose company I
would revel in -- even when I was working on these Websites.
He is very much missed and will always be the best part of me.
Thanks again, Chris
