My husband and I watch them often and laugh as much as the first time we viewed it. However, I love to watch Dame Judi anytime I am fortunate enough to see her, particularly live. Every performance, no matter how different, is sincere and amazing. (I am sorry that you still do not have your dear husband) My favorite one was where she got tipsy and was eating at the table and he was trying to console her as she just about had her face in the bowl. I was captivated by her performance in that movie. Also enjoyed John Millar's wonderful portrayal of her life in 'With a crack in her voice 'I am now looking forward to his latest publication. Was touched by her empathy towards fellow colleagues and towards social concerns in general. As a hopeless corpser myself (Irish giggler) I was tickled by the accounts of the tricks Judi played on actors and directors. Whenever I watch now I want to look beyond each performance to see if I can spot any of these tricks. All I can say is that every performance by Judi Dench has brought pleasure into my life.
